Cor Bugeaud is an historic cru in many ways. Long carried by the Dubois family, the wine owes its name to general Bugeaud, hero of the Napoleonic Wars and governor of the Citadel of Blaye. The tradition has it that he came to hunt on the estate’s land with his horn.
